Le Petit Sauvignon

We were looking for Sancerre, and we stumbled upon this fantastic wine. This supplier specializes exclusively in sauvignon blanc that comes primarily from the Loire (VDF, Touraine, Pouilly-Fume, and Sancerre).

This wine has a crazy amount of grip, good purity, and focus. We actually tasted a lot of Sancerre that would have envied the great complexity of this wine, yet “Le Petit Sauvignon Blanc” is a quarter of the price. It shows grapefruit, kiwi, and ripe peach on the nose. A well-balanced palate with fresh notes of granny smith and mango deliver on this promise.

Call it love if you want. For us, it was love at first sip! This one has BTG written all over it!

Chateau La Noe

Muscadet de Sevre-et-Maine

Muscadet is one of the regions of France (in the Loire) that offers some of the greatest white wines in the country. It also is one of the regions that offers spectacular value wines.

Chateau de la Noe is the name of an estate, founded in 1878, that offers incredible quality and consistency in their wine. This is due in part to the miraschistes soil here, which is full of finesse and minerality.

One surprising fact is how well Muscadets, made from a grape called Melon de Bourgogne, can age!

This wine offers several levels of complexity from flavors & aroma. It shows white flowers on the nose, a fresh balance of licorice and mineral flavors on the palate with a refreshing, and fruit forward finish.
