Château Pombrède, located near Sauveterre de Guyenne, has been in the same family for four generations. Rémi Garuz, the current owner, tends to vines planted by his grandfather in 1920. The vineyard's name originates from the town of St Brice near Sauveterre de Guyenne. The wine is a blend of 60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Cabernet Franc, grown on clay and limestone soil.

WINEMAKER: Pascal Mondin

AGE OF VINES: 20 years

FARMING: Manual disbudding, mowing in between the rows, use of less chemicals according to the growth and weather of the vines.

SOIL: Clay and limestone

FERMENTATION: Alcoholic fermentation at controlled temperature using selected yeasts, with 2 to 3 weeks on skins to provide a round and supple wine.

AGING: Aging in stainless-steel and concrete tanks
